SWANA - The Solid Waste Association of North America

KALUN CLIFF CHAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Region of Halton and the Ontario Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) are offering a $1000.00 scholarship to encourage students studying in disciplines related to solid waste management and environmental protection. This scholarship is in memory of Cliff Chan, the Director of Solid Waste Management for the Region of Halton and a Director of the Ontario Chapter of SWANA until his untimely death in November 2000.

Catherine is completing a Masters Degree in Environmental and Resource Studies at the University of Waterloo. The Ontario chapter of SWANA is very pleased to have Catherine as our 2008 scholarship winner.
